About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Good Clean & Maintenance Services Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring that they are safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Cleaning Staff: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular inspections of our facilities to identify any areas that require attention, and implement measures to maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning and maintenance projects, ensuring that we stay within budget and meet our financial targets.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments, such as facilities management and maintenance, to ensure that our facilities are well-maintained and that our operations run smoothly.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for cleaning staff, ensuring that our facilities are cleaned and maintained to a high standard.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, and assist with their immediate settlement needs.
  • Support for Youth: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment, and offer on-the-job training and mentorship opportunities.
  • Support for Veterans: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans, and offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people, and offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities.
  • Support for Mature Workers: Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination, and provide staff with awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for mature workers.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities, and apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
