Poultry Farm Foreman/Woman Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Poultry Farm Foreman/Woman to join our team at B.C. Ltds. As a key member of our agricultural operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our poultry farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our animals, and maintaining the highest standards of bio-security and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of farm workers and harvesting labourers to ensure efficient and effective farm operations.
  • Monitor animal health and take corrective action as necessary to prevent disease and ensure the quality of our products.
  • Manage farm feed inventory and ensure that all necessary supplies are available to maintain optimal animal health and productivity.
  • Co-ordinate and supervise the clearing and collection of brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas.
  • Ensure that all farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of farm operations, including animal health, feed inventory, and production data.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience in poultry farming or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be working in a rural area, surrounded by the sights and sounds of a working farm. The work environment is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects.
