Job Summary
Primarily responsible for growing sales in assigned customer base and achieving assigned sales growth targets. This involves prospecting for new accounts and increasing core and cross-sell opportunities within existing customers. The role requires driving customer success and delivering a seamless customer experience by leveraging White Cap tools and resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct business out in the field via face-to-face interactions with both potential and existing customers.
- Develop and sustain sales relationships with key decision-makers and influencers on all levels of an organization.
- Partner with customers, vendors, Credit, and A/R to quickly resolve customer service issues.
- Maintain a current and competent base of product knowledge and apply that knowledge when servicing customers.
- Forecasts, prospects, and bids for new business to include customers, markets, and additional service opportunities.
Requirements
- Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.
- Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues.
- May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.
Work Environment
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about.
- Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
Compensation
- $60,000 + commission.
