Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Naval Systems Engineering Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of engineering strategies, ensuring compliance with schedule and budget specifications. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Systems Design: Oversee the design and development of naval systems, ensuring integration into ship structures and validation through testing.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Schedule Management: Coordinate and execute engineering tasks within allocated schedules, adhering to budget specifications.
  • Team Collaboration: Engage with cross-functional teams, including production, operations, and suppliers, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential risks, developing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: In a relevant engineering or naval architecture discipline, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Certification: Possess a Professional Engineer or Incorporated Engineer designation from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of progressively senior experience in engineering, preferably with knowledge of ship/maritime systems.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with experience in general supervision of more junior colleagues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information effectively.

  • Competitive Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $108,000 - $132,000, commensurate with experience and location.
