About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our Middle Market team at XL CATLIN. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing our Middle Market insurance products, building strong relationships with brokers and clients, and contributing to the growth and success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Underwriting and Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough underwriting and risk assessments for Middle Market clients, ensuring accurate and timely decisions that meet our business objectives.
  2. Broker and Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met.
  3. Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, working closely with our sales and marketing teams to drive growth and revenue.
  4. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with our underwriting, claims, and sales teams to achieve business objectives and provide excellent service to our clients.
  5. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies, identifying and mitigating risks to our business.
Requirements
  1. Insurance Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of Middle Market insurance products and underwriting principles.
  2. Technical Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of insurance products, underwriting, and risk assessment, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  3. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
  4. Business Acumen: Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities and drive growth and revenue.
