About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Retail Procurement Specialist to join our team at KOKKO Made Enterprise Inc. as a Merchandise Buyer. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, ensuring adequate stock levels, and negotiating prices and credit terms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement and Sourcing: Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
  • Merchandise Selection: Select and purchase merchandise for resale, ensuring it meets the company's quality and pricing standards.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain contact with suppliers, negotiate prices and credit terms, and ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain adequate stock levels, monitor inventory turnover, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Market Research: Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay up-to-date on industry trends and new products.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field, such as business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field, preferably in retail or procurement.
  • Computer and Technology Skills: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
