Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is between CAD 120,000 to CAD 160,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Optimization Manager to lead our Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) practice. As a member of our IT team, you will report directly to the VP, Cloud Transformation and IT Services. Your primary focus will be on optimizing cloud financials, establishing a robust cloud optimization roadmap, and driving significant organizational value through the effective use of cloud services.

About You
To succeed in this role, you must possess strong technical knowledge of cloud operations, SRE/NoOps, business cases, financial reporting, and cloud metrics/KPIs. You should also have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities
Some key responsibilities include:
  • End-to-end ownership of cloud financials, including business cases, cloud consumption, forecasting, financial modeling, and financial optimizations.
  • Owning and maintaining a cloud optimization roadmap with delivery commitments.
  • Deep experience in establishing and running a FinOps practice.
  • Working closely with the Platform Architecture and IT Operations teams to identify and manage platform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across on-premise and cloud ecosystems.


Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this role, you will need:
  • A university degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in traditional IT and cloud ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience defining and building a FinOps framework (people, process, technology) in a complex organization.
  • Experience in effectively partnering with Architecture, Operations, and Development teams on cloud assessments and migrations.
