Job Summary:
The Chapman Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of General Manager, Performance. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of a significant industrial-based business and development opportunity in Saint John.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute strategic vision in all aspects of the Industrial Parks, including financial, marketing, sales, leasing, and service divisions.
- Lead business development and customer attraction, retention, and economic growth opportunities with key accounts.
- Develop and implement site-level vision, mission, values, and organizational strategies.
- Negotiate contracts, source vendors, and oversee operational expenditure and capital projects.
- Ensure financial and service quality goals are met and exceeded.
- Participate in the hiring and training processes when required.
- Maintain and track the client base and opportunity pipeline.
- Remain current with applicable developments and training.
- Develop short, mid, and long-term strategies to plan the net operating income stream of the Industrial Parks.
- Ensure all Occupational Health and Safety policies are adhered to.
- Conduct informal daily and weekly property inspections.
- Develop positive public relations through participation in various community programs.
- Travel to City locations or contracting party sites as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field (preferred).
- Analytical approach to problem-solving, risk assessment, and strategy.
- Business case and financial analysis ability.
- Ability to 'issue spot' based on extensive past work experience and formal training received.
- Analytical, problem-solving, conflict management.
- Time management and organizational skills; databases and data analysis methods and skills preferred; accurate data entry skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Must be a strategic and focused individual who is committed to achieving goals using strategic plans and effective management skills.
- Experienced in budget planning and management.
- Strong project management and change management skills.
- Fluency in French and English considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
This role will be based in Saint John, New Brunswick and is subject to all City employment policies.
