A Day in the Life of an Associate/Manager – U.S. Advisory:

  • Collaborate with senior managers, vice-presidents, and partners on cross-border transactions, providing tax advisory services to clients.
  • Assist in cross-border corporate and high-net-worth individual personal tax planning, ensuring compliance with U.S. tax laws.
  • Conduct research on U.S. tax issues, interpret and apply tax legislation to provide expert advice to clients.
  • Research and interpret international tax treaties to ensure clients' tax obligations are met.
  • Review and prepare U.S. corporate, partnership, trust, individual federal and state tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in regular training sessions with team members and provide junior team members with training sessions to enhance their skills.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Approximately 3-6 years of relevant experience in tax advisory and/or tax compliance.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
  • Intellectual curiosity and creativity.
  • Flexibility and availability.
  • Good judgment.
  • Open-mindedness applied to continuous learning.
  • Strong team spirit and ability to work with others.
  • Strong sense of client service and professionalism.
  • Bilingualism required for this role.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Master's in Tax (or other Graduate Study equivalent).
  • US CPA and/or Canadian CPA designation.
  • EA designation.
