Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, ensuring that all materials are properly labeled and organized.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all waste is disposed of in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner.
  • Food Preparation: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and assist with food preparation as needed.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Sharpen kitchen knives and assist with minor maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
  • Housekeeping: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Term: Temporary position.
  • Hours: 35 hours per week.
