Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team at St. John's Fish Exchange Kitchen & Wet Bar. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items, as well as maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
