Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structured Cabling Specialist to join our team at 12661063 Canada Inc. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including trunking systems and circuits
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to access and repair equipment
  • Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to minimize downtime
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure seamless communication
  • Analyze test results and instrument readings to identify areas for improvement
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate work assignments and ensure successful project completion
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed
