We are seeking a skilled Structured Cabling Specialist to join our team at 12661063 Canada Inc. as a permanent employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and test cable signals and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including trunking systems and circuits.
- Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to access and repair equipment.
- Determine work assignments and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers to minimize downtime.
- Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure seamless communication.
- Analyze test results and instrument readings to identify areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate work assignments and ensure successful project completion.
- College or CEGEP education in a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance.
- Ability to work at heights and in various environments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and reliability in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including urban and rural areas. The work environment will be physically demanding, requiring the ability to climb, bend, and lift equipment.
Language and HoursThe primary language of work is English, and the work schedule is 32 hours per week.
