Maintenance Team Leader

About the Role
The Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor will be part of a dedicated maintenance team of four supervisors who report directly to the Maintenance Manager. This role offers a fast-paced working environment and opportunities for career development within our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the performance, training, and safe conduct of the Millwright, Machinist, Heavy Duty Mechanic, and RV Technicians.
- Develop and maintain the highest levels of safety within the department.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in applicable work areas.
- Build a high-performing team to meet the needs of internal customers by giving feedback and performance management to direct reports.
- Ensure the team can meet schedule and quality goals defined prior to execution.
- Align the team on the value of precision maintenance, including adherence to design specifications, recordkeeping, and developing maintenance procedures.
- Establish and maintain maintenance records, input requisitions for supplies, including tools, materials, and equipment.
- Manage external contractor use and ensure internal overtime is managed to company expectations.
Requirements
- Industrial Maintenance supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized setting.
- Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright certification or a related Red Seal certificate, or a Bachelor of Science in Engineering in the mechanical field.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
