  • Food Service Establishment: Restaurant, Fast food outlet or concessionKey Responsibilities
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules
    • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates
    • Address customers' complaints or concerns
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
    • Prepare and submit reports
    • Maintain knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres
    • Establish work schedules
    Supervision
    • Cook (general): Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
    • Food Service Counter Attendants and Food Preparers: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
    • Kitchen and Food Service Helpers: Maintain knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres
    • Staff in Various Areas of Responsibility: Address customers' complaints or concerns
    Certificates, Licenses, Memberships, and Courses
    • Safe Food Handling Certificate: Required for the position
    Security and Safety
    • Criminal Record Check: Required for the position
    • Basic Security Clearance: Required for the position
