Clinical Director, Brain Cardiac and Spine Program Leader

The University Health Network is seeking a visionary Clinical Director to lead the Brain Cardiac and Spine Program. As a key member of the hospital leadership team, you will be responsible for administrative, operational, and patient care functions within the program. You will promote quality patient care delivery, effective clinical resource management, and ongoing development of teams within the program.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical leadership, with experience in developing and implementing practice and quality control measures. They will be able to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner, produce high-quality work, and meet deadlines in accordance with UHN standards.
The Clinical Director will work closely with clinical/hospital/program leaders to ensure activities and programs are consistent with UHN's philosophy and objectives. They will also be responsible for establishing and representing the program through sound and influential decision-making and achievement of strategic and operational plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and collaborating with local leadership teams, Vice Presidents, Directors of Practice and Programs, Medical Directors, and Division/Department Chiefs to ensure effective coordination of patient care
- Providing exceptional leadership in the development of program, organizational, and financial plans
- Liaising and collaborating with internal and external professionals and stakeholders to ensure service is aligned and integrated across and within the Program, UHN, and the community
- Establishing and representing the Program through sound and influential decision-making and achievement of the strategic and operational plans
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree and Master's Degree required in a Regulated Health Profession program, or recognized equivalent such as Masters of Health Administration
- Current certificate of Competency from a recognized Professional Health Disciplines College (e.g., College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, College of Nurses of Ontario)
- Eight (8) years related experience required, including experience working in a leadership role and developing, implementing, and maintaining practice and quality control measures in the clinical practice environment
