Ambulatory Medical Specialty Clinics Nurse

Job Summary:
Baycrest offers a comprehensive range of outpatient clinics and specialist services, all conveniently located on one campus. This position provides nursing care in the Ambulatory Medical Specialty Clinics, working closely with physician and nurse-led specialist teams.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, client-centered care, acting as a clinical expert and resource for interdisciplinary teams.
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing interventions, including medications and treatments within the RN's scope of practice.
- Collaborate with medical specialists to establish patient care plans and ensure smooth clinic operations.
- Provide care to clients with complex medical, cognitive, and social needs, including those with memory disorders and dementia.
- Work effectively in a busy clinic environment, utilizing strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, Level C - Automated External Device.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master's degree preferred.
- Experience working in a clinic environment, with knowledge of brain anatomy and physiology.
- Strong clinical assessment skills, with ability to work with clients with complex needs.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
