About the Role

We are seeking a Sales Team Lead to join our retail store team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing sales activities, managing staff, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they have the necessary skills and training to perform their tasks effectively.
  2. Hire and train or arrange for training of staff members to maintain a high level of product knowledge and customer service.
  3. Authorize payments by cheque and order merchandise as required.
  4. Establish work schedules and ensure that all staff members are aware of their responsibilities.
  5. Sell merchandise and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  6. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  7. Organize and maintain inventory, and supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers.

Supervision

The Sales Team Lead will supervise 3-4 people, including cashiers, grocery clerks and shelf stockers, retail salespersons and sales clerks.

  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to handle heavy loads and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and have a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
