Drywall Installer Job Description

Lincoln Interiors Ltd is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, cutting and fitting them to meet specifications, and ensuring a smooth finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install drywall sheets, measuring and cutting them to fit around corners and edges.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets, positioning and securing them to metal or wooden studs or joists.
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Install door, window, and other hardware.
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires working under pressure. You will be working on-site, and the work environment can be dusty.

Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in drywall installation.
