Job Title: Director, Academic Research



Job Summary:



We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as the Director, Academic Research. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of academic research at Yorkville University and drive excellence in this critical area.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Develop and implement a research strategy that promotes excellence in research at Yorkville University

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to academic researchers and faculty members

  • Identify and secure funding opportunities for research projects

  • Develop and manage research partnerships with industry, government, and non-profit organizations

  • Oversee the development and implementation of research policies and procedures

  • Chair the Research Ethics Board and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Manage and analyze research data to inform decision-making and drive research excellence



Requirements:





  • Master's or doctoral degree in education or a relevant field

  • Extensive experience in a research leadership role within an academic or research institution

  • Proven track record of increasing research outputs and securing external funding for research projects

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders

  • Ability to think strategically and innovate in research management

  • Proficient in standard enterprise software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite
