Job Title: Transit Driver Full Time

First Student Canada-Transco is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Transit Driver to join our team in Barrie, ON.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Transit Driver to operate our buses safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers in a safe and courteous manner, adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a transit vehicle in a safe and courteous manner, following all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Maintain a strong attendance record and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Assist passengers with disabilities and provide excellent customer service.
  • Notify dispatch of any issues or incidents that may arise during the shift.
  • Complete and submit written reports as required.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Class BZ or CZ driving license, clear driver abstract, and background check.
  • First Aid certification and experience in the transportation industry an asset.
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
