Senior Associate

Are you looking for a challenging role in digital technology? Baker Tilly is seeking a Senior Associate to join our Digital Technology practice in Vancouver or Toronto.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions that support our firm's objectives and client needs. The Senior Associate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality, scalable, and efficient software solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting and documenting user requirements; regularly evaluating the applications interaction flow, analyzing the data and proposing improvement strategies to optimize existing applications, automation routines (BOTS) and scripts and improve user experience.
- Analyzing the requirements and specifications of various projects and proposing solutions.
- Formulating program specifications and basic prototypes.
- Writing, debugging, and testing code for various automation routines, application features and components.
- Developing process automation tools (process BOT) using MS Power apps.
- Reviewing programs and applications regularly and making any adjustments to keep them running well.
- Integrating and deploying applications on different platforms and environments.
- Documenting and maintaining the code and the application architecture.
- Collaborating with other developers, designers, testers, and stakeholders.
- Collaborating and co-leading the team of other IT specialists whenever necessary.
- Updating and improving existing applications to enhance performance, security, and usability.
- Researching and learning new technologies and best practices to keep up with the industry standards and trends.
A successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Programmer or Software Developer, with a strong understanding of software development principles.
- Experience with MS Power automate and MS Power apps will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and self-improvement, with a passion for technology and innovation.
