Job Title: Senior Associate, Fire Investigations

Forensic Engineering Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our Fire and Electrical Group. As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in leading investigations, providing technical expertise, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead complex fire and explosion investigations, including desk studies and field investigations
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on fire and electrical safety
  • Develop and implement testing and analysis protocols to ensure accurate and reliable results
  • Participate in business development activities, including identifying new business opportunities and promoting the firm's services
Requirements:
  • Minimum of years' experience in fire and electrical investigations, with a strong background in forensic engineering
  • Current registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC and APEGA
  • CFEI certification, with preference for additional certifications such as CVFI, CFI, WETT, GPL, and GPI
  • Knowledge of regulatory codes and standards, including NFPA and other relevant codes
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to clients and stakeholders
