About the Job
Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern are now CPKC, a truly North American railway. As a Supervisor Mechanical, you will play a key role in our operations, ensuring that all repairs and servicing are performed safely and efficiently.
Job Summary
- Lead a team in maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs on locomotives, mobile equipment, and vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with Association of American Railroad, Transport Canada standards, and CPKC policies.
- Work with internal and external partners to improve fluidity and achieve Local Service Operating Plan and Operating Plan.
- Provide leadership accountability for safety, service, productivity, and financial metrics.
- Lead safety compliance within the terminal, providing corrective actions as needed.
- Mentor and coach team members through active observation and feedback.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
- Valid driver's license.
- 2 years' previous supervisory experience in logistics or an operational environment.
- Availability to work all types of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to drill down, understand root causes, and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent focus, attention to detail, and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
