Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in designing and developing racking, enclosure, and ventilation systems for our energy storage units. The ideal candidate will have experience in energy storage, lithium-ion safety, and design, as well as a strong background in mechanical design and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop thermal systems for indoor and outdoor enclosures
  • Design mechanical components, subassemblies, and high-level system integration
  • Support overall architecture design decisions based on external client requirements
  • Develop 3D CAD models, assembly drawings, and bill of materials
  • Lead manufacturability checklists and DFM reviews
  • Support failure analysis investigations and development of FMEA
  • Develop relationships with OEMs, vendors, manufacturers, and key suppliers
  • Mechanical design and documentation to support UL product certification
Requirements
  • 10+ years relevant experience in mechanical design and manufacturing
  • Experience with energy storage, lithium-ion safety, and design
  • Experience with DFx procedures throughout the design and manufacturing process
