About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Safety Officer to join our team at Atlas-Apex Roofing (Kitchener) Inc. as a permanent employee. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the manager in implementing safety programs, evaluating existing programs, and planning new initiatives to ensure a safe working environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of existing safety programs
  • Plan and implement new safety initiatives
  • Provide training and information to employees, employers, and the general public on safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the construction industry
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
