We are seeking a highly skilled French Translation Senior Specialist to join our team at Securian Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our French language content.
Key Responsibilities- Lead French language and translation efforts across the organization;
- Develop and maintain a centralized translation management process, including establishing processes and guidelines for bilingual communications;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and edit content, including copywriting, English to French (80%) and French to English (20%);
- Manage a network of external translation vendors, evaluating their quality and ensuring effective resourcing for organizational needs;
- Establish and maintain a standardized lexicon, develop an internal terminology bank, and style guide to ensure consistency;
- Coordinate translation requests between internal stakeholders and external vendors, as needed;
- Review and revise translations to ensure consistency with Securian Canada's terminology, style, and tone, as well as quality of French language;
- Develop French RFP responses and other French-first/French-only materials.
- Bachelor's degree in translation (Eng-Fr) from a recognized academic institution;
- Certification from a recognized translators' association (OTTIAQ, ATIO, CTINB);
- Minimum seven years translation and revision experience, preferably in the insurance industry or a related field;
- Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity;
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office software;
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
