Job Title: Translator (English to French)

At BMO, we are seeking a highly skilled Translator to join our team. As a Translator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality translation services to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate business materials from English to French and/or French to English, maintaining alignment with Bank standardized terminology.
  • Conduct terminology research and establish terms specific to a field of activity, ensuring the quality and uniformity of translation products.
  • Monitor and manage communication and translation requests in a timely manner.
  • Support the coordination of employee communications vehicles and events.
  • Manage a database of archived copies of translated files.
  • Ensure consistency within communications by reinforcing national standards for templates and procedures.
  • Proofread, produce, and deliver final versions of documents.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders who require translation services.
  • Mitigate reputation risks related to language issues.
  • Complete complex and diverse tasks within given rules and limits.
Requirements:
  • Typically between 2 – 3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • In-depth experience of translation services procedures and practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of common desktop environment of translation services.
  • Specialized knowledge.

  • Collaboration and team skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

We offer a competitive salary range of $37,500.00 - $69,500.00, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
