Convenience Store Manager Position

Job Title: Convenience Store Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Convenience Store Manager to join our team at J&P Variety #2. As a Convenience Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive excellent service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Daily Operations: Direct and control daily operations, evaluate daily operations, and plan and organize daily operations to ensure the store runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Lead and Motivate Staff: Manage staff and assign duties, recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, and conduct performance reviews to ensure that our staff are motivated and performing at their best.
- Merchandise and Services: Determine merchandise and services to be sold, implement price and credits policies, and develop and implement marketing strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
- Financial Management: Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure that the store is financially stable and profitable.
- Customer Service: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, and manage difficult situations with customers to ensure that our customers receive excellent service.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Skills: Point of sale system, word processing software, computerized bookkeeping system, electronic mail, spreadsheet, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and MS Outlook.
Working Conditions:
- Work Environment: Urban area, convenience store, and retail business.
- Physical Demands: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, and repetitive tasks.
