Job Summary

We are seeking skilled Sheet Metal Fabricators to join our team of experienced professionals. As a Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for reading engineering and architectural drawings, laying out and measuring sheet metal according to specifications, and installing sheet metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Drawings: Read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings, sketches, and work specifications to determine the requirements for sheet metal fabrication.
  • Lay Out and Measure Sheet Metal: Lay out and measure sheet metal according to drawings or templates to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Install Sheet Metal Products: Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Operate Equipment: Operate rigging and hoisting equipment, as well as welding and similar equipment, to fabricate sheet metal products.
  • Inspect and Test: Inspect and test sheet metal products to ensure they meet specifications and building codes.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Completion of sheet metal schooling and applicable hours for accreditation, as well as experience as an apprentice or journeyman.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong work ethic, positive team attitude, ability to learn on the job, attention to detail, and ability to take orders and instructions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift in excess of 25 kilograms, stand for long periods, and work in high, awkward, and noisy places.
