About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Labourer to join our team at Siegbert Steel Inc. As a Metal Fabrication Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our metal fabrication processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Metal Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Cleaning Solutions: Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions to achieve optimal results.
  • Assist Metal Workers: Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers as needed.
  • Material Sorting: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Excess Metal Removal: Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Work Orders: Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and quality.
  • Manual Dexterity: Demonstrate manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail and quality in all tasks.
Requirements
  • Training Provided: Willingness to learn and receive training on metal fabrication processes.
  • Employment Type: Permanent employment with 35 hours per week.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
