Medical Laboratory Specialist II

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Laboratory department, you will be responsible for performing laboratory work and related duties in the field of Biochemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Accessioning, and Urinalysis. Key Responsibilities
* Perform laboratory work and related duties in the field of Biochemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank, Accessioning, and Urinalysis
* Work under the direction of the Chief Medical Technologist to ensure high-quality laboratory results
* Collaborate with laboratory staff to maintain effective work relationships and ensure smooth laboratory operations
* Stay up-to-date with technological developments in the field and implement appropriate changes
Requirements
* Must have successfully completed an approved CSMLS course in Medical Technology and be registered with the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS)
* Minimum of three to four years' post-Registered Technologist experience as a Medical Technologist in all disciplines of the laboratory and two years recent Accessioning experience
* Ability to supervise, analyze statistical data, organize work, maintain effective work relationships, and keep abreast of technological developments in the field
