Speech-language Pathologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Speech-language Pathologist to join our team at Vernon Jubilee Hospital in Vernon, BC. As a casual Speech-language Pathologist, you will work directly with clients and/or with their caregivers or other persons who regularly interact with these people for the purpose of creating environments that promote optimal communication and swallowing for adults requiring this care.

About the Role

This is a casual position, which means hours are not guaranteed and that days of work and shift times may vary. Many careers with us begin with casual employment and lead to permanent or temporary career opportunities.

What You Will Do

As a Speech-language Pathologist, you will contribute to the organization and the overall goals of the department/program quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research and education. You will have the potential to change the trajectory of our clients' lives by improving their speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities.

Requirements

We are looking for an SLP with experience/preference that will include outpatient and acute care services. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication abilities & be able to connect with people from all types of backgrounds. You will be creative in supporting clients' goals while adhering to program guidelines and will be an active and engaged team member, able to respectfully communicate and resolve conflict in a timely manner.
