Senior Tax Advisor Job Description

As a Senior Tax Advisor at National Bank Financial, you will play a key role in supporting clients and Investment Advisors in their tax needs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality tax expertise and services in the areas of taxation, retirement, and estate planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide tax support to Investment Advisors and other stakeholders
  • Perform complex tax analyses and guide clients in resolving their tax issues
  • Manage multiple complex files with tight deadlines in an ever-changing environment
  • Draft and update tax-related documents to support colleagues and clients
  • Participate in meetings with clients and external advisors
  • Develop practical and adapted solutions to business issues
  • Provide in-house tax training as needed
  • Ensure the management of corporate risks in file management
Requirements:
  • Professional designation (lawyer, notary, CPA, or other)
  • Master's degree or postgraduate diploma in taxation or successful completion of the ICCA in-depth course
  • In-depth knowledge of tax rules for individuals, estates, trusts, and corporations
  • 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex tax concepts
