Job Title: Senior Tax Advisor

Join National Bank as a Senior Tax Advisor and contribute to the success of our clients and Investment Advisors (IA) by providing expert tax support and guidance.

About the Role:

As a Senior Tax Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality tax support to IA and other stakeholders
  • Performing complex tax analyses and guiding IA and their clients in resolving tax issues
  • Managing multiple complex files with tight deadlines in an ever-changing environment
  • Drafting and updating various tax-related documents to support colleagues on the advisory team, IA, and their clients
  • Participating in meetings with NBF clients and/or their external advisors
  • Understanding business issues and developing practical and adapted solutions
  • Providing in-house tax training if necessary
  • Ensuring the management of corporate risks in the context of files
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Professional designation (lawyer, notary, CPA, or other)
  • Master's degree or postgraduate diploma in taxation or have successfully completed the ICCA in-depth course
  • In-depth knowledge of tax rules for individuals, estates, trusts, and corporations
  • 10 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts in a simple, comprehensive, and practical manner
