Job Summary

The Waterloo Catholic District School Board is seeking a Temporary SSC Teacher - Educational Assistant Focused Learning Opportunity to join our team. This role will involve teaching and mentoring Educational Assistants in a classroom setting, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with special education staff to develop and deliver curriculum content for HPD 4C and Co-operative Education courses
  • Support students in identifying their individual learning needs and developing strategies to improve academic success
  • Liaise with administration to ensure smooth program delivery and student placement
Requirements
  • Current Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification
  • Senior teaching qualifications in Family Studies or Co-operative Education (desirable)
  • Special Education qualifications (desirable)
Program Details

The program will run from December 2, 2024, to February 4, 2025, with a 30-hour workweek. The rate of pay will be $51.53 per hour for OCT certified candidates, plus statutory and vacation pay.
