Pharmacy Technician Role

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at BC Cancer. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of medication management for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and verify medication orders for distribution to patients.
  • Receive and review prescriptions from practitioners, ensuring completeness and authenticity.
  • Prepare and package medications according to established procedures, including compounding sterile pharmaceutical products.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of dispensed prescriptions.
  • Enter and maintain accurate drug and patient information in our pharmacy information system.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of medication management principles and practices.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and service.
