Part Time Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Part Time Professor to join our team at Georgian College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering the Architectural Drafting 3 (ARCH 2004) course in the Architectural Technology and Architectural Technician programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver curriculum to meet course objectives
- Incorporate a variety of teaching/learning strategies to meet student needs
- Evaluate student learning progress/academic achievement
- Participate in program and college activities as required
- Participate in program revision and renewal activities as required
- Create and maintain a positive learning environment
- Successfully completed a recognized bachelor's degree program in the field of architecture; postgraduate degrees are assets
- Minimum five years of experience in design, execution, supervision, or consultancy in residential, commercial, institutional, and/or industrial architectural projects
- Working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit
- Experience in other capacities with construction engineering firms or municipal offices is an asset
- Knowledge and experience in design and development of commercial architectural projects
- Computer literacy in MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to life-long learning
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students
- Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, adult learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies
- Teaching and Training Adults certification is an asset
- Current membership or affiliation with relevant professional associations (i.e., Ontario Association of Architects) is an asset
