Job Title: Buyer/Planner

Lawson Products is seeking a highly skilled Buyer/Planner to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability of maintenance and repair parts for our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and analyze demand forecasts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Review requisitions and execute buy strategies to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Manage inventory levels and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Participate in monthly demand planning meetings and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain product information and resolve issues.
  • Assist in the development of strategic sourcing plans and participate in bid proposals.
  • Support the financial budgeting process and reconcile invoices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Logistics.
  • APICS Certified (CPIM) or equivalent.
  • Proven track record of success in supply chain management roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to utilize data to solve issues.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP/MM systems and demand-planning software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
