We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our Vancouver office. As a key member of our team, you will support and coordinate health and safety initiatives nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and update existing health and safety guidelines and protocols for project management and the firm.
  • Provide health and safety expertise and assessment on project matters and concerns.
  • Lead the Occupational Health & Safety committee, addressing workplace issues and training representatives in each office.
  • Create and maintain a Business Continuity Plan for all Kasian offices.
  • Coordinate safe work procedures, hazard assessments, site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Analyze investigation reports, requirements, and high-risk factors associated with workplace incidents.
  • Conduct HS&E Orientations for employees and subcontractors during project onboarding.
  • Promote health and safety as a forward-thinking practice at Kasian.
  • Deliver continuous safety training and project toolbox talks to employees.
  • Ensure compliance with Project Safety Plans while identifying opportunities for safety performance improvement.
  • Share knowledge and provide Health and Safety training and coaching opportunities.
  • Utilize emergency response for projects.
  • Celebrate project success and completion, playing a key role in the project wrap-up process.
  • Effectively apply project-specific safety standards to promote Kasian's H&S standards, applicable OH&S Acts, Regulations, and Codes.

About You:

  • A minimum of 3+ years' experience in the construction industry, with expertise in health and safety management within the AEC industry.
