Architectural Project Lead

Salary RangeThe estimated salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $140,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Architect or Senior Technologist to lead interdisciplinary design/build teams on institutional building projects. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the quality of work, ensure fee compliance, manage schedules, and coordinate with design consultants.
- Prepare feasibility study reports and design/construction documents, including specifications.
- Develop presentation materials using 3D software.
- Manage client relationships and communicate directly with project stakeholders.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A combination of talent and technical skills in design projects and feasibility studies.
- Strong coordination and leadership skills to manage multiple phases and complete documents on schedule.
- At least 10 years of experience within an architectural firm.
- Experience in designing institutional buildings (K-12 schools, post-secondary, long-term care homes, police stations, fire stations, ambulances, civic buildings, justice facilities, etc.).
- A university degree in Architecture.
- Registration with the AIBC or eligibility to register.
- Construction documentation experience, including coordination with BP and working drawings.
- Demonstrated competence in a leadership role.
- The ability to coordinate documents with consultants.
- A high level of proficiency with REVIT and AutoCAD.
- Knowledgeable of the BC Building Code.
- Working knowledge of specifications.
- A high degree of attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience with LEED accreditation, net zero, accessibility accreditation; Indigenous engagement is highly valued.
