About the Position
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sessional Lecturer to teach a professional graduate course in Human Factors and System Design in Healthcare at the University of Toronto.
Key Responsibilities
- Course Instructor: Teach a professional graduate course using competency-based learning and assessment methods.
- Course Design and Assessment: Responsible for designing and assessing student outcomes.
- Accessibility: Must be accessible to students outside of classroom hours.
Qualifications
- PhD or Masters level education with recent experience in clinical and health informatics.
- Experience with ICT adoption, implementation, and evaluation.
- Robust understanding of clinical/clinician work processes, as influenced by health informatics and related technology.
- Working experience of user experience and user interaction design.
- Past teaching experience related to health informatics, preferably at the graduate level.
- Prior experience in curriculum development and adult teaching-learning methods.
- Comfortable with electronic teaching tools such as Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas), PowerPoint, as well as on-line collaboration tools (Blogs, Wikis, Discussion Boards, Webinars, or Video-conferencing).
