About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pacemaker Technologist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a Pacemaker Technologist, you will play a critical role in the delivery of high-quality patient care, working closely with our medical staff to ensure the optimal functioning of pacemakers and other cardiac devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pacemaker analysis and programming in clinics, operating rooms, and other areas of the hospital.
  • Assist surgeons during implant procedures and perform a variety of tests, including Electro Cardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, and holter monitoring.
  • Monitor pacemaker functions, report abnormalities, and respond to queries from patients and healthcare providers.
  • Participate in the development and review of standards, procedures, and instructional materials related to pacemaker services.
  • Train and orient staff and Surgery/Cardiology Residents in pacemaker functions and programming applications.
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized Cardiology Technology Program at the Diploma level, plus successful completion of a recognized pacemaker specialty exam, plus two (2) years recent related experience.
  • Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform duties accurately and maintain quality standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
