Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor maintenance and carpentry tasks
  • Paint and perform grounds maintenance
  • Remove snow and perform basic repair duties for facilities equipment
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and customer service

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 10
  • Up to one month of related experience

Assets:

  • Current Standard First Aid, CPR and/or AED certificates

Knowledge and Skills:

  • General facility cleanliness and safe work practices
  • Cleaning chemicals and disinfectants and safe application/procedures
  • Effective cleaning techniques
  • WHMIS
  • Customer Service principles
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation

Competencies:

  • Effective communication with the general public and staff
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Polite and punctual
  • Physical capability to perform ongoing duties
  • Prepared to work flexible hours

Salary Range: $40,000 - $55,000 per year

Language Requirement: English oral, reading, writing

Police Record Check: Required

Note: Experience and formal training may substitute for academic requirements.
