Job Summary

As a key member of the Human Resources team at Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, the Human Resources Business Partner will play a vital role in supporting the implementation and maintenance of corporate HR initiatives. This position will ensure adherence to the company's policies and procedures, motivate and lead by example, and support the learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with corporate executives and managers to support the full-cycle recruitment of specialized/professional positions, including finance, accounting, marketing, and technology services.
• Define recruitment plans, prepare and maintain internal and external postings, including social media, and liaise with recruitment agencies when necessary.
• Pre-screen candidates, conduct interviews, and perform reference checks, prepare offer letters, and lead team member onboarding.
• Oversee Occupational Health & Safety and Disability Management programs, including accident reporting, case management, and related policy and procedural roll-outs.
• Prepare and maintain all Leave of Absence (LOA) documentation for head office team members and escalate to the Director, Human Resources when necessary.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and support of various HR initiatives, including team member engagement surveys, policy and procedure launches/revisions, service awards, and performance management tracking.
• Coordinate licensing and company requirements for Head Office team members, including Serving it Right, GPEB, and criminal record checks, ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of applications and renewals.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity, liaise with site HR to ensure data quality, audit data on a regular basis for accuracy and consistency, and identify and spearhead data clean-up initiatives.
• Assist in the maintenance of forms, policies, and other HR documentation for the organization, including the HR P&P, org charts, and various disclosure forms.
• Liaise and communicate professionally and effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
• Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with all stakeholders, including guests, management, team members, and regulators.
• Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma; post-secondary education in HR or a suitable combination of education and experience is an asset.
• HR designation is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience with a solid background in full-cycle recruitment of professional and specialized positions, including finance and information technology.
• Computer literacy in MS Office; JDE or other HRIS experience is preferred; Visio and Adobe In Design are an asset.
• Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License.

Work Environment Considerations

• Regular office and casino environment; non-traditional work hours may be required in certain circumstances; some travel may be required.
