We are seeking a skilled and experienced African Cuisine Chef to join our team at DAYZY AFRICAN DELIGHT INC. as a key member of our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, minimizing waste and optimizing resources.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for staff and customers.
  • Event Planning: Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
  • Kitchen Operations: Manage kitchen operations, including staff supervision, menu planning, and inventory control.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a Safe Food Handling certificate, Food Safety Certificate, and First Aid Certificate.
  • Cuisine Specialties: Have expertise in African cuisine, with a passion for innovation and creativity.
  • Security and Safety: Meet the requirements for a criminal record check and basic security clearance.
  • Transportation: Possess a reliable means of transportation for work-related purposes.
  • Work Conditions: Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail, and ability to stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
