Job Description

As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist at Caldic North America's Mississauga facility, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and maintaining a safe working environment.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing maintenance schedules and coordinating with external contractors to complete required services;
  • Performing daily equipment inspections and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime;
  • Collaborating with operations teams to resolve equipment malfunctions and breakdowns;
  • Sourcing external vendors to provide necessary products, tools, and materials;
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, GMPs, and HACCP requirements.

In this role, you will work closely with the Maintenance Team Lead to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our equipment, which is essential for meeting our quality standards.

To succeed in this position, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing setting. A millwright license or equivalent certifications are highly desirable. Additionally, you must be able to lift up to 25kg/50lbs regularly and stand for long periods.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting;
  • Millwright license or demonstrated experience and certifications;
  • Ability to lift up to 25kg/50lbs regularly;
  • Ability to stand for long periods.

Please note that Forklift, Reach Truck & Scissor Lift certification is required for this position.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
