Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at M&P Truck & Trailer Repairs Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and general ledgers.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Assist with payroll processing, benefits administration, and other HR-related tasks.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Provide financial analysis and reporting to management, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
  • Skills: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Office, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, overtime required, repetitive tasks, accurate, client focus, organized, time management.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. The position requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The hours of work are 35 hours per week.
