M&P Truck & Trailer Repairs Inc. is seeking a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, maintaining general ledgers and financial statements, and preparing other statistical, financial and accounting reports.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills. You will work closely with our accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts

Requirements:

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
