As a Cybersecurity Specialist at FCT, you'll be part of a team that's committed to the success of each employee. You'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, develop your skills, and make a meaningful contribution to our organization.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist experienced team members with Information Security activities, including security monitoring procedures.
- Isolate issues using our suite of Security tools and work with other staff to identify appropriate course of remediation.
- Perform and review results from scheduled assessments, identifying related risks, and work with other IT teams to identify resolution plans.
- Assist with data collection and reporting activities in support of sustainment activities under PCI and SOC2 frameworks.
- Conduct initial investigations of escalated security and network events and assist in maintaining a library of documented response procedures.
- Write technical articles for our internal knowledge base.
- Work with your co-op peers to identify, plan, execute, and deliver a group project or presentation.
- Deliver Stellar Customer Service using STAR qualities.
- Use technology for standardization and optimization, and contribute to Process Improvements (KAIZEN).
- Be open to and create new and imaginative approaches, and display a willingness to question traditional ways and leverage existing capabilities.
- Take responsibility, know what needs to be done, and act with enthusiasm and drive, and take initiative to always be prepared for Focused Coaching.
- Adapt well to changing circumstances and accept new ideas and change initiatives.
What You'll Bring
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's program or Post Graduate program in a relevant field.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a business-friendly language across a spectrum of IT, Business, and partners.
- Smart, adaptable, innovative, and passionate about cyber security.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and improve systems.
- Ability to write clear instructions, procedures, presentations, and training materials.
- Exposure to or familiarity with computer networking and telecommunications, application design and development, information security (e.g., applications, intrusion detection, firewalls, etc.), operating systems.
- Leadership potential or skills displayed through extracurricular activities.
- Familiarity with security principles, techniques, and technologies.
